Project Management

Klority's Project Management module is a full **Agile/Scrum engine** built for speed and clarity. It replaces legacy tools like Jira without the administrative bloat or context switching, keeping your product team focused on shipping code.

Kanban Board & Workflow Control

The interactive board is your team's command center. It visualizes the current sprint status and supports seamless updates through drag-and-drop interfaces.

  • Custom Board Columns: Tailor your board columns to match your exact release pipeline (e.g., Backlog โ†’ In Development โ†’ Code Review โ†’ Testing โ†’ Deployed).
  • Status Rules & Transitions: Enforce workflow governance. Restrict specific columns to allowed task types (e.g., only "Bug" tasks can enter the Hotfix column) or configure transition rules to control who can move tasks between stages.
  • Inline Task Drawer: Click any card to open a full details pane without leaving the board, letting you update descriptions, logs, comments, and relationships.

Backlog & Sprint Planning

Manage upcoming work with a powerful backlog planning view that aggregates tasks, epics, and sprints in one place.

  • Epics & Hierarchy: Organize large-scale features into parent Epics. Subtasks can be nested within stories and bugs using clean parent-child references.
  • Saved Filters: Save custom search criteria (e.g., "My High Priority Bugs") for instant access via the filter bar.
  • Multi-Sprint Planning: Draft future sprints, allocate goals, and plan target dates in advance.

Multi-Sprint planning

While you can draft multiple future sprints to map out your roadmap, to maintain team focus, only **one sprint per project** can be active at any given time.

Collaborative Agile Estimation

Klority integrates an **Agile Estimation Wizard** (Planning Poker) directly into the sprint planning screen. Say goodbye to external estimation tools and manual data entry.

  • Fibonacci & T-Shirt Scales: Switch dynamically between standard Fibonacci points (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13) and T-shirt sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL).
  • Multi-Role Collaboration: Capture independent estimates from different roles (Developer, QA Engineer, and Product Manager).
  • Recommendation Engine: The system automatically averages these estimates and recommends the closest valid score on your chosen scale. You can review, adjust, and apply the final estimate to all tasks with a single click.

Sprint Capacity Planning

Track your true engineering bandwidth and prevent over-commitment using our detailed **Sprint Capacity Planner**.

Each team member's daily story point capacity is calculated using the following formula:

Daily Capacity Formula

Daily Capacity (SP) = (Daily Contracted Hours ร— Focus Factor %) / Hours per Story Point

Example: A developer working 8 hours/day with a 75% focus factor (accounting for meetings and admin overhead) takes 6 productive hours. If your project conversion rate is 8 hours per story point, their capacity is 0.75 SP per day.

  • Activity Allocation: Tag team member capacity to specific activities (e.g., Development, Testing, Design, Requirements, Deployment, or Documentation).
  • Individual & Team Days Off: Configure company holidays and individual vacation days within the active sprint. Klority automatically subtracts these from the team's total available hours.
  • Visual Progress Bars: Monitor total capacity against assigned task estimates in real time, alerting you when an engineer is overallocated.

Sprint Retrospectives

Wrap up your iterations using the built-in **Sprint Retrospective Board**. Gather insights, identify friction points, and document action items.

  • Three-Column Layout: Categorize notes under ๐Ÿ˜„ What Went Well, ๐Ÿ˜ข What Went Wrong, and ๐Ÿ“‹ Action Items.
  • Voting Mechanism: Allow team members to cast upvotes on retrospective cards to highlight the most critical discussion points.
  • Native Wiki Publishing: Once the retro is complete, click "Publish" to automatically generate a clean, formatted page in your project Wiki, preserving the historical record of your team's process improvements.

Interactive Project Risk Matrix

Track and mitigate project risks before they impact your delivery using the interactive **Risk Matrix Register**.

  • Likelihood & Impact Scoring: Rate risks from 1 to 5 on both Likelihood (Rare to Almost Certain) and Impact (Insignificant to Catastrophic).
  • Automatic Categorization: The system multiplies Likelihood ร— Impact to determine the overall Risk Score:
    • ๐Ÿ”ด Extreme (15โ€“25): Requires immediate executive visibility and mitigation.
    • ๐ŸŸ  High (10โ€“14): Must be reviewed weekly with active mitigation plans.
    • ๐ŸŸก Medium (5โ€“9): Monitored regularly.
    • ๐ŸŸข Low (1โ€“4): Logged and reviewed as needed.
  • Mitigation Registers: Document specific mitigation strategies and assign owners directly to every logged risk.
  • 5x5 Heatmap Grid: Visual scatterplot of project risks to easily spot critical exposures.

CSV Tasks Import & Export

Migrating from another tool? You can export your task list to CSV at any time, or use our **CSV Import Wizard** to bulk upload tasks, mapping column fields like Title, Type, Status, Assignee, and Story Points in seconds.

Reporting & Velocity Metrics

Keep stakeholders informed and measure team performance with automated analytics:

Sprint Burndown

Track remaining story points/hours vs. ideal guidelines day-by-day to predict completion.

Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD)

Identify bottlenecks in your pipeline by visualizing the distribution of tasks in progress over time.

Workload Distribution

Review task allocation across engineers to balance workloads and avoid burnout.

Release & Milestones

Track specific fix versions (e.g., v1.1.0) and monitor percentage complete to align deployments.
