Migrate from Jira in 4 steps

No consultants. No data loss. No surprises.

1

Export your data from Jira

Go to your Jira project → Issues → click the export icon in the top right → select "Export CSV (all fields)". This downloads a CSV with all your issues, epics, sprints, and metadata.

Jira Project → Issues → Export → Export CSV (all fields)
2

Create your Klority workspace

Sign up at app.klority.com, create a workspace, and set up your first project. This takes under 5 minutes. No credit card needed on the free plan.

3

Run the import wizard

Go to your Klority project → Settings → Import. Select your source (Jira, GitLab, Zoho…), upload your file. Known fields are mapped automatically — and any columns that don't match a known field are automatically preserved as a metadata comment pinned to each task, so nothing is lost.

Your tasks are now in Klority. Invite your team, assign sprints, and start using the built-in wiki and QA features — all at a fraction of Jira's cost. Your data is yours, always exportable.

🔒

Zero data loss — even for fields we don't recognise

Klority maps every column it knows — title, status, priority, sprint, epic, assignee, labels, due date, and more. But what about custom fields, Jira plugins, or Zoho-specific columns that don't have a direct Klority equivalent?

Instead of silently dropping them, Klority automatically pins a formatted metadata comment to each imported task. This comment is labelled [Source] Metadata and shows every unmapped field as a clean Field → Value table, right inside the task's comment thread. Your data is never lost — it's just waiting for you.

Mapped fields
Become native Klority task properties — title, status, sprint, assignee, priority, labels, points, dates.
Unmapped columns
Automatically pinned as a "[Source] Metadata" comment on the task — formatted as a Field / Value table.
Comments
Columns starting with 'comment' are imported as real task comments, preserving author and timestamp where available.

What gets mapped natively

These fields are recognised and mapped directly to Klority task properties. Everything else is preserved in the metadata comment.

📊 Story Points
✓ Custom & unmapped columns
Any column not in the list above is automatically pinned as a "[Source] Metadata" comment on the task — nothing is silently dropped.

Migration FAQ

Everything you need to know. Click a question to expand the answer.

Can I import from Jira to Klority?

Yes. Klority has a built-in Jira CSV importer. Export your issues from Jira, upload to Klority's import wizard under Project → Settings → Import, and your tasks appear in minutes.

Does Klority support Trello import?

Yes. Export your Trello board as JSON (Board Menu → More → Export as JSON) and import directly into Klority. Your lists become columns, your cards become tasks.

Does Klority support GitLab import?

Yes. Export your GitLab issues as a CSV (Issues → Export as CSV) and upload to Klority. The importer maps Title, Description, State, Priority, and Labels automatically.

Does Klority support Zoho Projects and Zoho Sprints?

Yes — both are supported with dedicated importers. For Zoho Projects, Task Name, Owner, Status, and Priority are mapped. For Zoho Sprints, Item Name, Estimation, Sprint, and Status are mapped. Just export your CSV from Zoho and upload.

How long does an import take?

Most imports complete in minutes. Upload your export file, the importer auto-maps your fields, and your tasks appear in Klority immediately. No waiting period.

Will I lose my sprint history?

Sprint assignments are preserved if they exist in the export file. Historical sprint velocity data is not auto-migrated, but your team can continue from where they left off.

Can I run Klority alongside Jira during transition?

Absolutely. Many teams start new projects in Klority while existing Jira projects wind down. There's no forced cutover.

Do I lose my data if I cancel?

No. Your data is always exportable from Klority as a CSV at any time. You own your data.
